Level 1 – Conceptualization of observation and knowledge

This is an extensive training course in concept building. The basic thinking processes of conceptualization can be found in the ‘Thought Process-Based Education Part 2’ booklet (free download from eBook section). This systematic thinking process turns curiosity on and converts curiosity into questions.

The concept of concept is different from general meaning.

Differences between concept and knowledge

Knowledge means acquired information by learning (Passive)

Concept means self-processed information.

For example, knowing a fruit called an apple is knowledge. The concept of an apple can be obtained once the knowledge is processed with its physical characteristics, such as thick skin with a mixed colour of red and green, juicy inside, and crunch. One condition is that the physical characteristics must be obtained by observation. If the information is gained by learning from other people, it is knowledge.
